Countdown to launch
Well ...... Here we go!!!
Derek and Janice (a.k.a: 'we ') have made the big decision to follow our long talked of dreams to take off in a fifth wheel for a while when retired. We have contracted to buy a beautiful fifth wheel, which is being manufactured as I type. Our new home on the road is coming off the line in Indiana on April 4th. And will be shipped to our dealer in Peterborough. Hopefully we will pick it up mid April and launch will happen during the first week of May. We just need a truck now so we can tow it!!!! HELP.... they are much more expensive than we originally thought ... but we will have to get one now we have committed to our new fifth wheel. Starting to shake in our boots ( oh boy... what have we done??)
Methinks we are in for quite an adventure before we even check in on our first night in an RV park!! But ain't that what makes life exciting... fear, panic, trepidation, risk, laughter and a glass of champagne.?
We will be keeping this blog as a record for ourselves of our travels and stories from the road. So for any of our family or friends who happen upon our blog and follow us .... Hello! We hope not to bore you... We certainly plan on not being bored for one minute.... we recognize that sitting on a rock watching the sun set over a mountain may not appear to be very 'bloggin exciting' for those not sitting on a rock with us.
